I thought I would be used to Tijan's writing style, in fact, I have enjoyed the chaos in other books. Broken and screwed is one of my favorite novels for example. But this one just does not do it for me. The heroine's over the top reactions to things it does not matter if it's someone being shot, or if it's a mean girl comment she reacts the same way. The tension between Tray and her was barely developed, the romance was pretty secondary. I skimmed through most of it as it was filled with all sorts of extraneous stuff not relevant to the story. It reads a lot like the fallen crest books, but less interesting. Very disappointing. Get online A Whole New Crowd today.
